College Credit for Naval Science Classes

EARN COLLEGE CREDIT FOR (NJROTC) NAVAL SCIENCE CLASSES

PARENTS:     1) Interested in having your son or daughter earn up to 15 college credits while in high school?

                        2) Interested in earning college credits without having to attend any additional classes?

                        3) Interested in earning college credits on the St Amant High School campus?

                        4) Earning college credits is optional, parents and students (after the students 16th birthday), enroll at the following web site http://www.jrotccollegecredit.com/

                        5) Naval Science instructors are accredited as the college course instructor and document the course completion and forward the record for the student’s transcript.

College credits accredited through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs

“These elective college credits are transferable to most, if not all, colleges & universities in America”.

COST:            1) Each Naval Science course is equal to two (2) college credits

                        2) Each college credit costs $65.00

                        3) Cost for each Naval Science course is $130.00

                        4) Four year cost of Naval Science 1 thru 4 is $520.00

OTHER POTENTIAL COLLEGE CREDITS CAN BE EARNED THROUGH THE COMPLETION OF:

LEAD 151 – Character Education – (NJROTC Summer Leadership Academy) (2 credits), requirements: attendance at Leadership Academy and a three page paper about the experience, graded by the Senior Naval Science Instructor

LEAD 152 – Citizenship and Community Service – (WE/You the People) (2 credits),

LEAD 150 – Personal Management and Community Service, requirement: completion of the National Edowment for Financial Education (NEFE) High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP).  NEFE HSFPP course can be taught at your high school.  Enrollment of teachers and all course materials provided by NEFE HSFPP at the following web site   http://hsfpp.nefe.org/instructors/index.cfm

LEAD 161 – College Options – Completion of the The Complete Guide to College Financing and Admissions and The Complete Guide to the SAT/ACT (DVDs provided free to all cadets taking the class)
