NJROTC Booster Club Meeting Minutes

December 14, 2006

Phyllis opened the meeting talking about the January 19^th fundraiser because Mrs. Boudreaux needed to leave early.  Melanie assured us that the smoker and pit are reserved and need to be picked up.  Someone who has a 2 in hitch needs to pick it up.  The tickets were revised and Cap will make copies and distribute to the cadets before the holidays.  If someone orders ten plates or more, we will deliver.  We need to start cooking at 6:00-7:00 am.  VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! The deadline for orders will be January 11, 2007.

Cap told us that the Target grant for fieldtrips has been submitted.  We will know sometime in February if we will receive the $1,000.00

We discussed the Christmas parade and the December competitions.  The cadets did well in both. CONGRATS!

The STA NJROTC competition will be January 27^th.  Marie gave Cap a basic list of items needed for concession.  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO WORK THIS EVENT!

The hotel information for the Pensacola competition is available.  The hotel is the Best Inns and Suites.  The phone number is (850) 479-1099.  The room prices are $65.00 plus 11% tax.  We will stay two nights.  Anyone interested should call the above number and make reservations as soon as possible.

The military ball will be in April.  It will be on either April 21^st or 28^th depending on the availability of the commons area. We wanted to have it in March, but prom is the last week in March.  We agreed that the cadets that attend prom would have a hard time paying for both, so this will give them and the parents some time to prepare.

Next meeting will be January 11, 2007.  ANYONE AVAILABLE TO HELP WITH THE FUNDRAISER, PLEASE ATTEND.
